AVERAGE STEPS OF DEVELOPMENT
Varies depending on the race of the pup

0 to 8 weeks:
Dependence on his mother.

6 to 18 weeks:
Withdrawal, stress because of separation from his mother.
He gradually becomes independent.

8 to 12 weeks:
1st socialisation.
Takes place through an affective saturation by the mother or the adopting human being.
Establishment of a hierarchy through relationship to the pack or to the family.
Starts to bark.
Distrustful attitude towards foreigners around the 8th week.

12 to 24 weeks:
2nd socialisation.
An establishment of relations with the exterior can be noticed. Walks and games help the pup to bring himself to terms with his new borders.
Fear of strangers.
Strong attachment to his familiar environment.
Manifestation of his instinct to defend his territory.

24 to 52 weeks:
First sexual drive or manifestations of interest for females.
Voluntary defence of his territory and respect of others.
54 to76 weeks:
Physical and mental maturity. (development depends on race)
Looking for a social status.
